PJ Harvey Opens Glastonbury
Artist Began Set Unconventionally
PJ Harvey took the Glastonbury stage for the fifth time in an expected manner. She began her set by standing silently, turning in circles, "unveiling a large image of a tree behind her". She embraced the crowd by facing each direction, then "returned to the mike to begin singing and playing either 'Chain of Keys or 'The Community of Hope'." The artist's latest album, All About Eve, is a 'knotty musical expansion' "of the world she established with 2016's The Hope Six Demolition Project."
